COURSE TITLE: NEUROLOGIC INTENSIVE CARE II
CREDIT: 2 CREDITS
1-RECOMMENDED FOR: NEUROLOGY RESIDENTS AND SPECIALISTS, ACADEMICS
2-OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:
In the first session in the afternoon, respiratory and nutritional problems we face everyday in neurointensive care and their solutions will be discussed while in the second session hypoactive delirium, pain treatment, refractory status epilepticus and posterior decompression will be addressed.
3-WHAT WILL BE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES THAT THE PARTICIPANTS WILL ACQUIRE AT THE END OF THE COURSE?
At the end of this course, participants will know the evaluation of respiratory functions of neurintensive care patients, how to manage extubation in patients, diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary edema and how to manage enteral nutrition intolerance. In the second session, they will know diagnosis and treatment of hypoactive delirium, pain treatment in neurointensive care and practical approaches to analgesic use, diagnosis and treatment of refractory status epilepticus, timing of decompression of supratentorial and posterior fossa pathologies.
