COURSE TITLE: USE OF BOTULINUM TOXIN FOR MOVEMENT DISORDERS
CREDIT: 2 CREDITS

1-RECOMMENDED FOR: NEUROLOGY RESIDENTS AND SPECIALISTS, ACADEMICS

2-OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:
Indications of botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) treatment especially movement disorders and spasticity have been increasing in neurology practice. For the efficacy of the treatment, extensive training is needed for BoNT injection. Practitioners must know the mechanism of action of BoNT, its treatment indications, application techniques and possible complications that may occur in suboptimal application.
In this course, experienced faculty members will share transfer their knowledge through observation and share their own practices with participants.

3-WHAT WILL BE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES THAT THE PARTICIPANTS WILL ACQUIRE AT THE END OF THE COURSE?
Participants of this course will acquire knowledge about the injection of BoNT for cervical, craniofacial and limb focal dystonia, hemifacial spasms and upper limb tremors using the appropriate dose according to the optimal target and guidelines.  
They will also observe and learn BoTN injection for limb spasticity on case examples.
