COURSE TITLE: EPILEPSY

1-RECOMMENDED FOR: NEUROLOGY RESIDENTS AND SPECIALISTS

2-OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:
To acquire the basic knowledge to establish the differential diagnosis of epilepsy and define the syndrome by recognizing the clinical EEG features of different epileptic seizures through the discussions of an experienced epileptologist (Based on a scenario where there is an epilepsy patient having the first generalized and focal seizure to be described briefly by the moderator at the beginning,  three different speakers will respectively have a theoretical discussion about different clinical EEG features and the moderator will comment briefly after each speaker.) he objective of the second part of the course is to enable participants to plan the treatment of a patient diagnosed with epilepsy in the light of the discussions held in the first part.

3-WHAT WILL BE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES THAT THE PARTICIPANTS WILL ACQUIRE AT THE END OF THE COURSE?
Learn the basic clinical and electrophysiological features that are common in epilepsy and affect the diagnosis and treatment plan, learn the epilepsy-related clinical and EEG findings in all age groups and acquire the skills to interpret them and plan the treatment accordingly.
